Welcome to the Nurse's Education Center brought to you by Lippincott's NursingCenter. Have you ever thought about furthering your education and your career?

When I graduated in 1984 with my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN), the furthest thought from my mind was going on for further education. As I began my career journey, I quickly came to realize that to provide the best care for my patients, I had to be open to learning something new every day. I had to know where and how to find the best information. Off to school I went, juggling a family and working full time, and in 1998, I completed my Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) and graduated as a nurse practitioner. Fast forward to present day, I am back in school working towards my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) through an online program while also juggling family responsibilities and working full time.

Research has shown us there is a clear link between higher levels of nursing education and better patient outcomes. Healthcare is evolving at a breakneck pace, so we need to think differently about how we deliver care. Furthering your education will give you the problem solving skills you need to deliver the highest quality care.

Going back to school and furthering your education is challenging. That is one of the reason's the Lippincott team developed the Nurse's Education Center, to make your journey a little easier. This site offers you guidance on choosing the right school and program, tips on finding funding and scholarships, moving forward in your career, and finding the balance between school, work, and famliy life. Joined by some of the top journals in the nursing profession, American Journal of Nursing (AJN), Nursing2011, Nursing Made Incredibly Easy, Nursing Management, and The Nurse Practitioner; the Nurse's Education Center will assist you as you transition through your education and career journey to become a leader in the nursing field.

Sincerely,

Anne Dabrow Woods, MSN, RN, CRNP, ANP-BC
